Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, August 14, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Ashland. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel.Jim was born Sep. 8, 1935, to Oba I. and Nola Mae Hand Ford in Alton.On Feb. 13, 1954, he married Edith Yvonne Bowerman in Alton and she preceded him in death on Feb. 22, 2014.Jim was a church planter, pastor and preacher of God’s word for over 60 years. He was also a carpenter and builder on many commercial buildings and residential homes throughout his career. He loved to travel, but his greatest loves were the Lord, his family, and God’s people.He is survived by his two children, Janet Elaine (David) Danklef of Jefferson City and Danny Allen (Rose) Ford of Billings; a brother, Kendall Ford of Houston; a sister, Evelyn Sue Bowman (Vince) of Mt. Dora, Fla.; two grandsons, Christopher (Nicole) Ford and Aaron (Emily) Ford; and six great-grandchildren, Drake, Cole, Annabella, Jaxson, Layla and Nolan. He has many other family members and friends who are rejoicing that Jim is now with his Lord.He was also preceded in death by his parents and son, Steven Quinn Ford in 1998; and a sister-in-law, Lora A. Nancy Irene(Bosch) Masle Bowerman, 77, of Main Street, Fort Plain, N.Y., died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at The Mountain Valley Hospice House in Gloversville.Born on Nov. 28, 1939, in Amsterdam, N.Y., she was the daughter of Carl George Bosch and Evelyn VanArsdale Bosch. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1957. She attended Broome Technical College, training for dental hygiene. She also received several certificates from George Meany Labor College.Mrs. Bowerman worked for Beech-Nut in Canajoharie in the Accounting and Purchasing Department. She was employed for 32 years with Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. She worked in dispatching and electric operating. She was active in the IBEW Local Union No. 1371 as recording secretary, financial secretary, vice president and president. In 1993 twelve local unions merged and she was appointed business representative of Local Union No. 97 Eastern Division. She later became the assistant business manager until her retirement in 2003.Nancy served on the Board of Assessment and Review for the Town of Minden.She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.For more than 30 years, Nancy was a member of IBEW. She was also a member of the Palatine Literacy Society, Sprout Brook Rod & Gun Club, and the National Arbor Society.On April 23, 2005, Nancy was married to Michael Bowerman. Together with Mike and their beloved black lab, Sparky, she enjoyed many of her life’s joys: gardening, hunting, camping, fishing, boating, and playing cards with friends.Her husband Frank Masle predeceased her in 1981. Her dear sister, Norma Bosch Hoke also predeceased her.Mrs. Bowerman is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Earl Bowerman of Fort Plain, N.Y.; her deeply beloved children who will forever remember her unconditional love and sacrifice for them: son, Bradstreet (Brad) and Iris Tompkins, of Wellington, Fla., and daughter, Julann (Julie, Jules) Constantine and Joseph of Amsterdam, N.Y.; grandchildren, Emily and Adam Romano of Parkland, Fla., E...
